Significant Business Conference in Haridwar
A large business conference was organized by the Uttarakhand State Trade Board and the Doon Valley Industry Trade Board at the Guru Mandal Ashram in Devpura, Haridwar. The event featured Sunil Singhi, Chairman of the National Trader Welfare Board, as the chief guest. He emphasized the board's commitment to resolving traders' issues, highlighting priorities such as simplifying GST, eliminating inspector raj, and leveling the playing field for small traders through platforms like ONDC.
Former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP, Trivendra Singh Rawat, remarked that the trading community is the backbone of society. He assured that the Uttarakhand government is fully sensitive to the interests of traders, working on special relief packages for those involved in the Char Dham Yatra, logistics subsidies for hilly areas, and promoting local products in the national market.
Rajendra Chautala, the state trade board's president, noted that the commission has acted as a bridge between traders and the government, facilitating discussions to protect traders' interests. Sumit Arora, the executive state president of the trade board, shared that numerous suggestions were presented to the chairman, including a health insurance scheme for middle-class traders, allocating 70% of shops in malls and commercial complexes to locals, and establishing robust laws for trader establishment security.
Pankaj Mosin, president of the Doon Valley Industry Trade Board and a member of the National Trader Welfare Board, stated that their goal is to safeguard traders' interests, and they will continue to raise their voices through conferences. The event was conducted by youth district president Vishal Goswami and metropolitan president Sandeep Agarwal, with notable attendees including former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri Maharaj, and many other prominent traders.
