Commitment to Promises and Preparations for Pilgrimage

On Saturday, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated his government's dedication to fulfilling pre-election commitments. Speaking to reporters, he emphasized that his administration has been diligently working to implement promises made to the public, including the introduction of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. He also reviewed the preparations for the upcoming winter Char Dham pilgrimage, stating that arrangements had been initiated well in advance to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience this year.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, our government is committed to delivering on every promise made to the public. We pledged to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) before the elections, and we have fulfilled that promise. This year, we began preparations for the winter Char Dham pilgrimage much earlier, ensuring that pilgrims face no inconveniences. We have enhanced facilities in anticipation of an increase in the number of pilgrims in the future.

Highlighting measures for the agricultural sector, CM Dhami assured sugarcane farmers that the government would provide full support during the upcoming harvesting and procurement cycle. He further stated that farmers can confidently cultivate their entire sugarcane crop, as the government will ensure proper procurement arrangements.

Earlier on Friday, while addressing a meeting of the Herbal Advisory Committee held at the secretariat, CM Dhami instructed officials to establish village-level clusters to systematically work in the herbal sector. He emphasized the need to focus on promoting and developing herbal and medicinal products from the high Himalayan regions.
