Uttarakhand CM Emphasizes Enhanced Security and Traffic Management for New Year Celebrations
Ensuring Safety and Order for Tourists
On Tuesday, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed officials to ensure improved law and order in the state as the New Year approaches, while also enhancing facilities and safety for tourists.
During a meeting held in light of the upcoming celebrations, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for special attention to traffic management until January 5. He stressed that tourists should not face any inconvenience under the guise of security checks.
Dhami called for strict action against those who disrupt law and order in the state. He also directed senior police officials to regularly inspect various areas to strengthen law enforcement and traffic management.
The Chief Minister assured that individuals committing criminal acts in Uttarakhand would not be spared. He provided directives for adequate security measures at major tourist destinations and in areas with high foot traffic.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of monitoring reckless driving and driving under the influence, while also ensuring proper security arrangements around liquor shops.
