Major Arrest in IPO Investment Scam

Lucknow, August 3 - The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police has apprehended a wanted suspect linked to a multi-crore fraudulent IPO investment scheme in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Officials disclosed this information on Monday.


According to a statement from the STF, the individual has been identified as Anurag Arvind Srivastava, who was wanted in a case registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act at the Lucknow Cyber Crime Police Station.


The STF reported that the suspect was arrested on July 31 from his residence in the Manakapur area of Nagpur district. During the raid, authorities seized a laptop, an iPhone, a Tata Nexon car, fake seals from three companies, 139 documents, six blank checkbooks, an unsigned check worth ₹3.17 crore, two other unsigned checks totaling ₹2.50 crore, a canceled check, and two SIM cards. Police are currently interrogating the suspect and investigating the involvement of others in the scam.
