According to police reports, the confrontation began when officers requested shopkeepers to close their businesses late at night. This request led to a heated argument, which escalated as more locals joined in to assault the officer.


Police Response

Authorities have confirmed that a case has been filed, resulting in the arrest of four individuals involved in the incident. The Pilibhit Police announced on social media, stating, "A case has been promptly registered regarding the assault on a police constable, and four individuals have been apprehended. Further action will be taken against others identified during the investigation."


Separate Arrest in Rape Case

In an unrelated case, a man previously convicted of murder and recently released on bail has been detained by Delhi Police in connection with a rape case reported last month at the Patel Nagar police station. The suspect, identified as Manjeet alias Manja, 39, resides in Patel Nagar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Police received a complaint on June 11, leading to the registration of a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
