Arrests Made in Recruitment Fraud Case

On Thursday, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police apprehended two individuals allegedly involved in a scam that promised candidates success in the medical examination for the Agniveer recruitment process.


The STF's Meerut unit, led by Additional Superintendent Brijesh Kumar Singh, identified the suspects as Naresh from Budhana in Muzaffarnagar district and Sachin from Kankra village in the Shahpur area of Muzaffarnagar.


The arrests took place near a military hospital in Meerut, where the duo was reportedly attempting to ensnare candidates into their scheme.


Authorities recovered two counterfeit army seals, two fake admission cards, a mark sheet, handwritten documents containing candidates' details, two mobile phones, an Alto car, and ₹4,000 in cash from the arrested fraudsters.


Efforts are ongoing to locate other members of the gang.
