Corruption Bust in Uttar Pradesh

The Anti-Corruption Organization (ACO) of the Uttar Pradesh Police apprehended a clerk while he was accepting a bribe of 10,000 rupees. This incident was reported by the police on Friday.


According to police reports, the clerk, who was stationed in the village of Saripur within the sadar tehsil area, was arrested on the grounds of an inter-college field located in the city police station jurisdiction. Interrogation of the clerk is currently underway.


Inspector Sadanan Singh, in charge of the Kotwali Dehat police station, stated that the clerk, Vivek Mishra, had demanded 10,000 rupees from a farmer in exchange for facilitating the possession of a small plot of land.


Following this, the farmer lodged a complaint with the ACO. Acting on the complaint, the ACO team successfully caught clerk Vivek Mishra red-handed while he was accepting the bribe from the farmer. The team is now conducting further inquiries with the clerk.
