Minister's Call for Simplicity and Health

On Tuesday, the Water Power Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Swatantra Dev Singh, urged citizens to consume only milk at home and to avoid alcohol. This statement was made during a program commemorating the 18th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar.

Singh emphasized the importance of simplicity, stating, 'Every wealthy individual should embrace simplicity, and every impoverished person has the potential to progress. Those who reside in buildings without values or spirituality are heading towards ruin.'

When questioned by the media about whether he was advising against alcohol consumption, the minister reiterated that people should stick to drinking milk and completely avoid alcohol.

He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating, 'Never abandon Modi Ji and Yogi Ji. Such leaders are rare; they do not belong to any caste and prioritize the public above all. If your brother contests elections from another party, do not support him.'

Referring to Chandrashekhar, Singh remarked that the former Prime Minister dedicated his life not for position or prestige, but for values and principles. He recalled Chandrashekhar's foot march from Delhi to Kanyakumari and his vocal opposition to the government during the Emergency.
