Uttar Pradesh Launches Second Phase of 'School Chalo Abhiyan' to Boost Enrollment

The campaign emphasizes identifying out-of-school children, re-enrolling dropouts, and raising awareness among parents about education's importance. Uttar Pradesh's Commitment to Education

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the second phase of the statewide 'School Chalo Abhiyan' from Saharanpur. He reiterated the state government's dedication to achieving 100% school enrollment for the new academic session. The initiative aims to ensure that every eligible child is enrolled in school, with a particular focus on identifying children who are out of school and integrating them into the formal education system. Launching this initiative from the CM Model Composite School in Ismailpur village, Adityanath distributed books, school bags, and stationery kits to students starting their new academic year. He also honored the top-performing headmasters in the district who contributed to improving school education.

During the event, Adityanath shared a portion of his speech on social media, stating, "The results have been positive because the government's intentions were clear, and the policy for advancing education was straightforward." According to officials, the second phase of this campaign will prioritize identifying out-of-school children, re-enrolling dropouts, raising awareness among parents about the importance of education, and encouraging active participation from elected representatives, School Management Committees (SMCs), and local communities. The first phase of the 'School Chalo Abhiyan' was conducted in Uttar Pradesh from April 1 to April 15. Officials noted that this initiative is part of the state government's broader strategy aimed at promoting education alongside holistic development, ensuring that every child receives quality education.
