Uttar Pradesh Launches 'One Tree for Mother' Campaign to Enhance Greenery
Initiative to Revitalize Nature
The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has initiated a campaign called 'One Tree for Mother' aimed at enhancing the state's natural environment. This initiative has garnered participation from various BJP leaders across the state. Notably, Hema Malini, the BJP MP from Mathura, has also joined this campaign.
On Wednesday, as part of the state-wide 'One Tree for Mother' initiative, Hema Malini emphasized the importance of planting trees to restore greenery in the Braj region. She described this effort as a beautiful initiative to rejuvenate the lush landscapes of Mathura and Vrindavan. Malini remarked that this was a rich heritage bestowed upon us, which we neglected and ultimately lost.
Our Responsibility to Protect
She further stated that it is now our duty to plant and protect trees. Each sapling we plant is a step towards conserving the Braj region. Malini highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for 'One Tree for Mother' is a wonderful initiative to revive the ancient green landscapes of Mathura and Vrindavan, reconnecting people with their roots.
Community Participation in Environmental Protection
The campaign also saw participation from various officials and leaders, including Sugarcane Development Minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar, and BJP leader Ravikant Garg. They all underscored the significance of public involvement in environmental conservation.
