Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Commitment to Legal Community

On July 28, in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the Uttar Pradesh government is working towards providing 'cashless' health services for lawyers, with plans to develop an appropriate system for this initiative. Speaking at the introduction ceremony of the newly elected executive committee of the Bar Association at the Gorakhpur District Court, he emphasized that the government will take necessary steps to safeguard the interests of lawyers.

Adityanath described lawyers as vigilant guardians of society, highlighting their crucial role in upholding constitutional values and maintaining public trust in the justice system. He urged the legal community to remain alert against efforts that could undermine the nation and society.

The Chief Minister pointed out that some forces are uncomfortable with India's growing influence on the global stage and its economic advancements. He accused these forces of attempting to create divisions within society based on caste, region, and religion through social media campaigns, fake accounts, and divisive tactics.

He stressed that the legal community must play a vital role in confronting these challenges, asserting that it is their responsibility to act in the best interest of the country and society. Adityanath praised the progress made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, noting significant advancements in infrastructure development, heritage preservation, and strengthening India's global identity in recent years.

Emphasizing the need for better coordination between the bench and the bar, he stated that this would ensure timely and accessible justice for ordinary citizens. The Chief Minister also mentioned that integrated court complexes are being developed in the state, providing amenities such as drinking water, libraries, canteens, and auditoriums for lawyers and judicial staff. He expressed confidence that the newly elected Bar Association officials would contribute to further strengthening the justice system.
