Lucknow, Apr 13: The government of Uttar Pradesh has established a high-level committee aimed at resolving the issues stemming from the factory workers' protests in Noida, ensuring effective communication with all involved parties.
Officials indicated that this committee was formed under the directive of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and has already arrived in Noida to engage in discussions with workers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders to swiftly address the situation.
An official announcement from the state government on Monday revealed that the committee's objective is to alleviate industrial tensions in Gautam Buddh Nagar and facilitate the smooth operation of industrial activities through collaborative efforts.

The committee will be led by the industrial development commissioner, with senior officials from the MSME department, labor and employment department, and the labor commissioner as members. Additionally, five representatives from workers' organizations and three from industry bodies will also participate in the panel.
According to the official order, "The committee will prioritize submitting its recommendations."
Officials further stated that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted into any potential interference by "vested interests" or political agendas aimed at disrupting the peace.
"Disorder will not be tolerated in Uttar Pradesh, and suitable solutions to the issues will be developed," they emphasized.
This initiative follows violent protests by factory workers in Noida who were demanding higher wages, which resulted in incidents of arson, vandalism, and stone-throwing across various locations.
The demonstrations, primarily led by employees of private manufacturing firms, caused significant traffic disruptions along the Noida Link Road, leading to long vehicle queues for several hours.

Protesters reportedly obstructed the route from the Chilla Border, severely impacting traffic flow from Delhi to Noida. In response, authorities deployed a substantial police presence to regain control of the situation.
One protester expressed frustration, stating that despite five years of employment at the same company, his monthly salary remains around Rs 12,000. He claimed, "When we request a raise, we are threatened and told to leave the job."
Another worker highlighted the rising cost of living, questioning how low-income individuals are expected to manage. "Those earning Rs 50,000 buy cooking oil at Rs 200 per kg, and we have to pay the same price. Is there a separate market for us?" he remarked, noting that nearly Rs 5,000 goes towards rent alone. "Our salaries should be increased," he insisted.
The situation intensified as clashes erupted between protesters and police, with reports of stone-throwing emerging from the scene. In response, authorities heightened security measures in the area to prevent further disturbances.
The government reiterated its commitment to restoring normalcy and addressing workers' grievances through dialogue while maintaining law and order in the region.
