Deputy CM's Strong Rebuttal

Lucknow, August 8 – The Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak, has countered Akhilesh Yadav's remarks regarding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) targeting Brahmins. Pathak accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader of pretending to be a supporter of the Brahmin community. He emphasized that while differences in a democracy are natural, responses should be based on facts rather than confusion, bitterness, or baseless allegations. In a detailed post on his official X account, he stated, "In politics, responses should be based on ideas, not personal animosity or false accusations."

Critique of Family Politics

Pathak referenced the late socialist thinker and leader Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, accusing the SP of engaging in nepotism. He noted, "Dr. Lohia was a staunch opponent of family politics. He believed that those who are close to their families become detached from society. When a family gains too much power, society becomes weak."

Akhilesh Yadav's Allegations

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had accused the ruling BJP of oppressing Brahmins during a conference commemorating the late socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra. In response, Pathak remarked, "You are pretending to be a supporter of the Brahmin community today, while your past statements, such as 'Mishraji, have some shame,' and questioning journalists' castes still pierce society like a dagger. Your entire political discourse revolves around one family."

Pathak's Vision for Society

He further asserted that societal upliftment cannot be achieved by empowering a single family but requires equal opportunities, justice, and respect for all classes. Pathak stated, "As far as my public life is concerned, it is evaluated by the people. I have always prioritized organization, the constitution, and public service. Personal attacks, slurs, and propaganda cannot change the truth or the public's trust."

BJP's Political Philosophy

He concluded by stating that the BJP's political approach is based on putting the nation first, prioritizing the organization, and focusing on the upliftment of the last person in society, while family-centric politics aims to confine power to one family, a distinction that the public clearly understands.
