Criticism of Rahul Gandhi's Event

Lucknow, August 8 - Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, labeled the 'Students' Echo' event led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Prayagraj as a 'flop show' on Saturday. In a message shared on the social media platform 'X', Maurya claimed that the Samajwadi Party (SP) also supported Gandhi's event, stating, 'Despite the open backing from SP leader Akhilesh Yadav and the full strength of the SP-Congress alliance, Rahul Gandhi's visit to Prayagraj turned out to be a flop show.'

He further remarked, 'Labeling the Congress worker conference as a 'students' program' cannot mask political failure.' The BJP leader emphasized that the youth of the nation are witnessing Congress's dual character. He pointed out that in states where Congress is part of the government, they remain silent on local issues, while creating a ruckus over the same issues in BJP-ruled states.

Maurya added, 'Akhilesh Yadav's support proved to be a mere straw for Rahul Gandhi in Prayagraj.' He asserted that no matter how much the SP and Congress collaborate politically, the people of Uttar Pradesh are aligned with development, good governance, and national interest. The Deputy Chief Minister also claimed that the youth of Prayagraj and the entire state stand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, now and in the future. He predicted that this public support would lead to the defeat of the SP-Congress alliance in 2027, ensuring a third consecutive term for the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh with a significant majority.'

During the event, Rahul Gandhi addressed the audience in Prayagraj, accusing the ruling BJP of injustice towards the country's students and urging the youth to bring about change in the system through love rather than hatred.
