Strict Measures Against Overseas Fraud

On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh instructed police officials to take stringent action against individuals committing fraud under the guise of sending people abroad.

This directive came during a public grievance session held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan within the Gorakhnath Temple complex, where approximately 250 attendees voiced their concerns.

One woman reported to the Chief Minister that an agent had promised to send a family member overseas but later deceived them. Taking this complaint seriously, Adityanath directed the police present to take decisive action against the agent and ensure the victim's money is returned.

He advised the woman to avoid falling prey to such agents, warning that those attempting to migrate illegally often end up in jail. Adityanath emphasized that there should be no delays or negligence in assisting victims.

He cautioned that any negligence in addressing public complaints would lead to action against the responsible officials. He instructed administrative and police personnel to ensure timely, fair, and appropriate resolutions to complaints, providing immediate relief to each victim.

Additionally, he called for legal and stringent measures against illegal land encroachments. During the public session, many individuals also requested financial assistance for medical treatments.

The Chief Minister directed officials to quickly assess hospital expenses and inform the government, assuring appropriate support from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund.
