Mandatory Capacity Building Initiative in Uttar Pradesh
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh announced that a capacity building program will be made compulsory for all officials and employees. This information was shared through an official statement.
The statement indicated that Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of the progress made under the 'Mission Karmayogi' initiative during a high-level meeting, discussing the future action plan in detail.
During the meeting, topics such as the implementation of the mission, training frameworks, the status of digital platforms, and capacity enhancement across various departments were thoroughly examined.
According to the statement, S. Radha Chauhan, the chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, presented a detailed action plan regarding the implementation status of the mission in Uttar Pradesh to the Chief Minister.
Adityanath remarked that 'Mission Karmayogi' is a transformative initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at developing capable human resources that embody the values rooted in Indian culture while adopting a global perspective, thus becoming a driving force for the development of the state and the nation.
He emphasized that this initiative plays a crucial role in making the governance system more sensitive, accountable, and results-oriented in response to future challenges.
The statement further revealed that under 'Mission Karmayogi', the goal is to connect over 3 million civil servants at the central level, approximately 22 million personnel in states, and around 5 million personnel in urban local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions with capacity enhancement.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that the seven-day capacity building program is mandatory for all employees and linked to their promotions and Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs).
