Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Envisions Prosperity and Good Governance by 2026
A Vision for the Future
On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed confidence that Uttar Pradesh will set new benchmarks in prosperity, good governance, and comprehensive development by 2026. Leaders from opposition parties, including Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav, also extended their New Year greetings.
In a post on 'X', Adityanath stated, "Under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 'New Uttar Pradesh' is playing a significant role in the development journey of a prosperous India."
He emphasized that the development and welfare schemes implemented in the state have significantly improved the living standards of its residents. The benefits of these programs are reaching every segment of society, including the poor, farmers, youth, and women, in a transparent, swift, and effective manner.
The Chief Minister expressed his firm belief that by the year 2026, the double-engine government's development policies will lead Uttar Pradesh to establish new records in prosperity, good governance, and overall progress.
New Year Wishes from Opposition Leaders
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati conveyed her New Year wishes to people across the nation and Indians living abroad, wishing them happiness, peace, prosperity, security, and a life filled with self-respect.
In her post on 'X', she said, "I extend heartfelt New Year greetings for 2026 to all citizens of the country and Indians around the world, wishing them joy, peace, prosperity, security, and a life filled with dignity and self-respect."
She added, "May the new year bring ease and simplicity to the daily lives of all marginalized and hardworking individuals in the country, free from the constraints of new laws and regulations. This year should bring you all immense joy, which is not just a wish from nature but also a struggle for the betterment of the Bahujan community in political and social life."
Akhilesh Yadav Calls for Change
Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, in his New Year message, called for new resolutions and changes, stating that a new dawn brings new hopes and that change begins with oneself.
In a post on 'X', he remarked, "The new dawn of the New Year brings a new abode of hopes; let us take new vows for the new battles ahead. A new resolution brings a new tomorrow. If we change, everything will change."
