Ensuring Safety and Comfort During Upcoming Festivals

Lucknow, July 24 - The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has issued a warning to officials regarding the upcoming Shravan month, Kanwar Yatra, and various festivals. He emphasized that the safety, convenience, and respect for every devotee should be the top priority during this period. Adityanath stated that arrangements for law and order, traffic management, health services, cleanliness, food safety, and public amenities must be in place to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.

According to an official statement, the Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with senior officials at the government level late Friday evening. He communicated with all police commissioners, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and senior superintendents of police to review the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, Shravan Shivratri, Chehallum, Independence Day, Barawafat, and Raksha Bandhan. The meeting included a briefing from the Additional Chief Secretary of Home regarding the preparations, while the divisional commissioner of Meerut and the ADG of Meerut Zone provided a detailed presentation on managing the Kanwar Yatra.

Adityanath instructed that strict action should be taken against elements attempting to disrupt harmony, spread rumors, or create chaos during the events. He urged the administration to remain vigilant and sensitive throughout the celebrations.

The Chief Minister also directed that the preparations and action plans from the Meerut Zone be shared with all other police zones in the state to ensure a uniform and effective system is implemented across Uttar Pradesh.
