Strong Reaction from CM Yogi Adityanath on Ghaziabad Murder
In response to the murder of Surya Chauhan in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed a firm stance. He stated that the state government will not tolerate crimes committed under the guise of friendship or personal relationships. During a public event, he highlighted that the recent incident in Ghaziabad is a significant concern for society. He emphasized that if someone takes a life while pretending to be a friend, it is not only a crime but also an act of betrayal. The law will take its course in such cases, and no leniency will be shown to the offenders.
In his statement, CM Yogi Adityanath reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of ordinary citizens. He stressed that upholding the law is the government's top priority, and any form of chaos will not be tolerated. Furthermore, he mentioned that policies aimed at development and good governance are being implemented without discrimination, but strict action against criminals will continue.
Yogi accused certain clerics and their followers of posting images of cows on social media during the recent Bakrid festival to send greetings. He remarked, “Fortunately, the government has already taken steps, allowing the festival to proceed peacefully.” Referring to the recent incident in Ghaziabad where a young man was allegedly stabbed to death by his Muslim friend, he questioned the nature of such friendship, stating that violence disguised as friendship is unacceptable.
Without naming anyone specifically, he urged everyone to remember that non-violence and compassion are virtues of humanity, but one must be prepared to take up arms against evil. The Chief Minister quoted Lord Krishna, stating that the purpose is to protect the righteous. He also referenced Lord Ram's mission to rid the earth of demons who disrespect the dignity of sages, common citizens, and the vulnerable. He called for readiness to confront those who rebel against the nation with the same severity and ruthlessness.
