Usain Bolt's Upcoming Visit to India

New Delhi, July 15: Renowned sprinting champion Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, is scheduled to visit India from September 26 to 28, with stops in both Delhi and Mumbai.

This marks Bolt's second trip to India, following his initial visit in 2014.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming journey, Bolt stated, as reported by Olympics.com, "I am thrilled to be returning to India. The vibrant energy, the people, and the passion for sports here are truly exceptional. I have a significant fan base in India and eagerly anticipate my visit later this year."

During his first visit in 2014, Bolt participated in promotional activities for a sponsor and engaged in an exhibition cricket match with Yuvraj Singh, India's ICC Cricket World Cup-winning all-rounder, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

He even raced against the Indian cricketer in a 100-meter dash during that trip.

This time, Bolt's visit will also focus on promotional events, including fan engagement and cultural activities in Mumbai and Delhi. A highlight of his tour will be a nationwide sprint challenge for school students, culminating in a final event featuring the Olympic legend.

Bolt boasts an illustrious career in athletics, with eight Olympic gold medals, 13 World Championship medals (11 of which are gold), and world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events. Even after retiring from competitive athletics in 2017, he continues to be a prominent figure in the sports world.
