US Response to India's Military Action

New York/Washington: Following India's initiation of 'Operation Sindoor' aimed at dismantling terrorist networks in Pakistan, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed his concern and is closely observing the developments between the two nations, hoping for a swift resolution.

On Wednesday morning, the Indian military executed missile strikes targeting nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, notably in Bahawalpur, a known base for the banned group Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Rubio took to X to share, "I am closely monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan. I echo @POTUS's earlier remarks that we hope for a quick resolution and will continue to engage with both Indian and Pakistani leaders for a peaceful outcome."

Shortly after the strikes, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval communicated with Rubio, providing details about the military actions taken, as reported by the Indian Embassy in Washington DC.

The Embassy's statement emphasized that India's military actions were targeted and precise, designed to avoid escalation. It clarified that no civilian, economic, or military sites in Pakistan were affected, focusing solely on known terrorist camps.

The Embassy also noted that terrorists had recently killed 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, in a brutal attack on April 22.

The statement highlighted that India possesses credible evidence, including technical data and survivor testimonies, indicating the involvement of Pakistan-based terrorists in this incident.

It was anticipated that Pakistan would respond to the terrorist threat and dismantle the supporting infrastructure. However, the statement criticized Pakistan for denying involvement and alleging that India was conducting false flag operations.
