Washington DC: On Wednesday, President Donald Trump indicated that the United States might soon initiate new military strikes against Iran. This statement was made during an interview with a news channel, coinciding with a significant escalation in tensions between the two nations over the last few days. Trump mentioned that the upcoming strikes would focus on Iranian infrastructure, specifically power plants and bridges, as a reaction to what he described as Iran's procrastination in ongoing negotiations.

Following the downing of an Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, the US had already conducted airstrikes targeting approximately 20 Iranian locations. Trump provided additional context regarding the helicopter incident, explaining that an Iranian drone had become entangled with the helicopter's pilots during evasive maneuvers.

In a related development, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced that it had launched missile strikes on four sites at the US al-Azraq base in Jordan, which reportedly housed F-35 fighter jets and a command center. The Iranian military has issued a warning, stating it is prepared to deliver a “crushing and decisive” response to any further US aggression.

Trump's Strong Words Against Iran: Earlier in the day, Trump took to social media to declare that 'the Bully of the Middle East is DEAD,' launching a fierce critique of Iran. He asserted that Iran's military has been 'totally defeated,' claiming that significant portions of its naval and air capabilities are no longer operational. Trump accused Tehran of stalling negotiations and cautioned that the nation would face consequences for not reaching an agreement with the US. He stated, "Iran's Military is a complete and total mess... They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!!"

In another social media update, Trump praised the effectiveness of the US naval blockade against Iran, calling it "the most successful blockade in the history of naval warfare." He claimed that the blockade has severely affected Iran's economy, military funding, and governmental functions, stating, "The Fake News Media refuses to report how EFFECTIVE the U.S. Naval BLOCKADE is," and emphasized that "nothing gets through unless we want it to."
