In a significant operation, the US military captured the oil tanker Majestic X on Thursday in the Indian Ocean, which is believed to be involved in the smuggling of Iranian oil. The US Department of Defense confirmed the seizure, emphasizing its commitment to disrupting illegal maritime activities that support Iran.

This action follows a recent incident where Iran targeted three cargo vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, successfully taking control of two of them. The Defense Department shared video evidence of US forces boarding the Majestic X, showcasing their operational capabilities.

Tracking data indicated that the Majestic X was located in the Indian Ocean, positioned between Sri Lanka and Indonesia, an area previously associated with another tanker, Tifani, which was also seized by US forces.
