Valley Springs Fire Forces Immediate Evacuations

A rapidly spreading vegetation fire in Spokane County, Washington, has led to Level 3 evacuation orders, urging residents to "Go Now!" in areas north of Beacon Hill. The blaze, identified as the Valley Springs Fire, was first detected around 3 PM local time on Monday, close to 5900 E. Valley Springs Road. Within just an hour, the fire had grown to about 22 acres, prompting emergency services to issue evacuation notices for surrounding neighborhoods.

According to officials from Spokane County Fire District 9, the Level 3 evacuation zone includes regions north of Clements Lane and south of Valley Springs, stretching east to Theirman and west to Custer. Residents in these areas are strongly advised to evacuate immediately and adhere to emergency protocols as firefighting teams work to control the swiftly advancing brush fire.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department has also sent additional firefighters to aid in suppression efforts.
