A group led by Advocate Shivendra Saini has expressed serious concerns regarding the deteriorating condition of various roads in the Haripur area. They presented a formal request to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Public Works Department (PWD), urging for immediate repairs and the completion of ongoing construction projects.

The request specifically pointed out the dire state of several routes, including the Guler–Nagrota Surian–Sakri road, the Bankhandi–Basa–Maheba route, the Haripur–Tatani–Bankhandi road, and the Guler–Nandpur–Ludret link roads. Despite the initiation of construction nearly a year and a half ago, these projects remain unfinished. The presence of large potholes and damaged surfaces has made these roads hazardous, leading to daily struggles for local residents, students, farmers, and travelers.

Advocate Saini emphasized the need for the department to prioritize the completion of all pending roadwork to facilitate safer travel and minimize accident risks.

Among those present were Haripur Panchayat Pradhan Kamaljeet, Up-Pradhan Sandeep Sharma, Guler Panchayat Pradhan Varun Dhiman, and several local youths, all of whom collectively insisted that the road repairs be expedited.

Copies of the memorandum have also been sent to the PWD Minister of Himachal Pradesh, the Superintending Engineer of the Dehra Circle, and the Executive Engineer (XEN) of Dehra.
