Recent heavy rains in the Churah subdivision have led to the dangerous swelling of the Kangela Nala along the Nakrod–Chanju route, creating significant hazards for daily travelers.

The bridge that spans the nala, which was damaged in last year's cloudburst, remains unrepaired. With no temporary bridge or alternative route available, residents from Bagheigarh, Chanju, Charada, and Dehra panchayats are forced to navigate the rapidly flowing waters on foot.

This situation poses a particular risk to schoolchildren, who must cross the strong currents to reach their classes. Women and elderly individuals are also facing perilous conditions, leading many parents to refrain from sending their children to school due to safety concerns.

Local community members have urgently requested that the administration and relevant authorities take immediate action to construct a temporary bridge and expedite the repairs of the damaged structure. They emphasized that prompt measures are crucial to avert accidents and safeguard the community during the ongoing monsoon season.
