A significant landslide in Khlog village, located within the Charodi Gram Panchayat of Churah subdivision, has placed approximately eight families in jeopardy.
The continuous rainfall over recent days has caused debris and rocks to cascade down from the hillside, posing an immediate threat to the residential areas. The landslide's intensity has increased during the night, leaving villagers anxious and unable to sleep.
Several concrete homes are now at risk, and local residents are sounding the alarm that without prompt action from authorities, a catastrophic event could unfold. They are urgently requesting the construction of protective retaining walls, drainage systems, and embankments to protect their lives and properties.
Community members have emphasized that the ongoing monsoon season exacerbates the risks to their safety and livelihoods, urging for a long-term solution to avert further destruction and ensure the well-being of the entire village.
