UPT20 League Season 4 Kicks Off with Exciting Matches

UPT20 League Launches on August 14

The fourth season of the UPT20 League is set to commence on August 14, featuring a match between Kashi Rudras and the reigning champions, Meerut Mavericks, in Lucknow. This 24-day tournament will highlight some of the best cricketing talents from Uttar Pradesh, as players compete on one of the nation's rapidly expanding domestic T20 platforms.

Sameer Rizvi Applauds the League's Growth

Sameer Rizvi, a batter for the Kanpur Superstars, commended the league for its swift expansion and the opportunities it offers to young cricketers. He described it as an excellent platform for emerging talents to demonstrate their abilities and advance their careers. Rizvi stated, "The UPT20 League has evolved into one of the largest domestic T20 tournaments in India. Uttar Pradesh is rich in talent, and this league allows young players to showcase their skills and progress in their careers. Each season, the tournament expands, creating more opportunities for budding players."

Tournament Schedule and Locations

The Kanpur Superstars will begin their UPT20 League 2026 journey against the Noida Kings on August 15 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The opening ceremony and the initial phase of the tournament will take place in Lucknow, setting the tone for an exhilarating season.

The competition will then move to Kanpur, where Kashi Rudras will face off against Noida Kings on August 28. Kanpur will also host the closing ceremony and the grand final, promising a spectacular conclusion to the tournament.

The knockout stage will be entirely held in Kanpur, with Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator scheduled for September 3, followed by Qualifier 2 on September 4. The two top teams will compete for the championship in the final on September 6 at the iconic Green Park Stadium, ensuring an exciting finish to the fourth season of the league.
