UPSC Releases Final Results for Civil Services Exam 2025

After a long wait for millions of candidates, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally announced the results for the Civil Services Examination 2025. The results were made public on Friday, allowing candidates to check the merit list on the official UPSC website.

This year, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for various central services. The final results are based on the scores obtained in the written main examination and the personality test, commonly known as the interview.

Notably, Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top position in this year's examination. Originally from Rajasthan, he is a medical professional. His achievement has brought joy to his family and community.

The merit list released by the commission includes 317 candidates from the general category, 104 from the economically weaker section, 306 from the other backward classes, 158 from the scheduled castes, and 73 from the scheduled tribes. In total, 958 candidates have been recommended for various services.

Additionally, candidates from the differently-abled category have also been selected. According to available data, 10 candidates from the first category, 14 from the second, 9 from the third, and 9 from the fifth category have been given opportunities.

The commission has also released a reserve list, which includes a total of 258 candidates. This list comprises 129 from the general category, 26 from the economically weaker section, 86 from the other backward classes, 8 from the scheduled castes, and 6 from the scheduled tribes. Some candidates from the differently-abled category are also included in this reserve list.

Regarding vacancies by service, a total of 180 positions have been allocated for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service, while 150 positions are designated for the Indian Police Service and 55 for the Indian Foreign Service.

Moreover, there are 507 positions for Group 'C' services and 195 for Group 'B' services under the central government. Overall, plans are in place to fill over a thousand positions across various services.

The Civil Services Examination is regarded as one of the toughest competitive exams globally. Each year, millions of candidates participate, but only a few make it to the final merit list after passing through the three stages: preliminary examination, main examination, and interview.

This examination facilitates appointments to several central services, including the Indian Revenue Service and the Indian Trade Service. Selected candidates are assigned to different services based on their ranks and service preferences.

Candidates can view their results by visiting the UPSC website and accessing the link related to the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025. They can search for their names or roll numbers in the PDF list that opens.

The commission has also stated that detailed scorecards for all candidates will be uploaded on the website approximately 15 days after the results are announced. This scorecard will be available for about 30 days, during which candidates can download it.

Once again, the results of the Civil Services Examination have brought new hope and inspiration to thousands of youth across the country. The selected candidates are now set to play a significant role in the nation's administrative framework.
