This announcement was made by Shri R. Mihul Sharma, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in Kangra, during a press briefing in Dharamshala.

The Lok Adalat will facilitate the resolution of a wide array of pending cases and pre-litigation disputes, including:
- Bank loan and recovery issues
- Labour-related disputes
- Disagreements over electricity and water bills
- Matrimonial and family-related conflicts
- Cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act
- Both pending court cases and pre-litigation matters
