In line with the directives from the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in New Delhi and the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority in Shimla, a National Lok Adalat is set to take place on September 12, 2026, at all district and subordinate courts throughout Himachal Pradesh. This announcement was made by Shri R. Mihul Sharma, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in Kangra, during a press briefing in Dharamshala.

The Lok Adalat will facilitate the resolution of a wide array of pending cases and pre-litigation disputes, including:
- Bank loan and recovery issues
- Labour-related disputes
- Disagreements over electricity and water bills
- Matrimonial and family-related conflicts
- Cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act
- Both pending court cases and pre-litigation matters
