Unraveling the Espionage Web: YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra's Ties to Pakistani Intelligence
New Developments in Jyoti Malhotra's Espionage Case
Recent revelations have surfaced regarding the espionage allegations against Indian YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra. Investigative agencies have discovered her direct association with retired Pakistani police Sub-Inspector Nasir Dhillon, who is currently under investigation for purported intelligence activities targeting India.
Intelligence sources indicate that Malhotra maintained personal communication with Dhillon and even featured with him in a podcast episode.
Their interaction reportedly occurred during one of Malhotra's previous trips to Pakistan.
After retiring from the Pakistani police, Dhillon started his own YouTube channel, initially presenting himself as an advocate for peace and cultural exchange between India and Pakistan.
However, investigators now suspect that this public image concealed a covert agenda orchestrated by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and military.
Officials claim that Dhillon acted as a liaison for Pakistani intelligence, utilizing his platform to connect with Indian YouTubers.
Once he established friendly relations, he would allegedly introduce them to ISI agents and gradually assign them tasks aimed at collecting sensitive information regarding the Indian Army and security forces.
Malhotra, aged 36, is believed to have been one of the individuals manipulated through this network.
Further sources confirm that Dhillon's connections reached Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, a staff member of the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, who was expelled by Indian authorities on May 13 due to suspected espionage.
Investigators have uncovered credible evidence linking Dhillon and Danish, suggesting a more extensive and organized spy network operating under diplomatic pretense.
Jyoti Malhotra was arrested on May 16 under the Official Secrets Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She has since faced multiple rounds of questioning by both local police and central intelligence agencies.
She is among 12 individuals detained across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh as part of a broader crackdown on an alleged espionage network attempting to exploit Indian digital influencers for intelligence-gathering.
As the investigation progresses, security agencies are broadening their efforts to identify additional potential infiltrators linked to this network, raising significant concerns about the use of social media as a new avenue for espionage.
