Actor Unni Mukundan Faces Instagram Hack

In Chennai, renowned actor Unni Mukundan, celebrated for his roles in Malayalam and Tamil films, revealed on Tuesday that his Instagram account has been compromised.

He shared the news on his Facebook page, stating, "My official Instagram account @iamunnimukundan has been hacked. Any updates, direct messages, stories, or content from that account are not from me; they are being posted by the hackers. Please refrain from engaging with or clicking on any suspicious links, and do not share personal information in response to anything from that account at this time."

Mukundan, known for his performances in films like Marco and Malikkappuram in Malayalam and Garudan in Tamil, assured his followers that efforts are underway to rectify the situation. He joins a growing list of celebrities who have faced similar hacking incidents this year.

Recently, actress Shruti Haasan also reported that her X account was hacked. She alerted her followers via her Instagram stories, saying, "Hi Lovelies, just want to let you know my Twitter account has been hacked. That’s not my posting. So, don’t interact with that page till I’m back please."

The news of Shruti's account being hacked came shortly after music director D Imman successfully regained access to his account, which had been hacked earlier this year. Before Imman, actress and producer Kushbu also experienced a hacking incident but managed to recover her account.

D Imman announced on June 18 that he had successfully retrieved his account, expressing his happiness to be back on X. He thanked his supporters and the X support team for their assistance in the recovery process. He also cautioned his followers to disregard any unusual posts made during the hacking period.

Earlier in March, Imman had alerted the public about his account being hacked, stating, "Hello everyone, I want to inform you that my official X account (@immancomposer) has been hacked. The hacker has changed the email and password associated with my account and has even posted content within the last 24 hours."

He emphasized the importance of his credibility and connection with his followers, urging everyone to ignore any misleading content posted by the hacker.
