A startling incident has emerged from Maharashtra, where a man named Dattatray Sadashiv Pawar, who has only completed tenth grade, was operating a clinic without any medical qualifications. For the past three years, he has been treating patients suffering from serious conditions such as diabetes and bone issues. Pawar admitted to having undergone just four days of training in Satara, which he used as a basis to establish his clinic in Pandharpur. He charged patients ₹500 per visit and reportedly treated around 70-80 patients daily.

Investigation Uncovers Fraud

The clinic was located behind the Narayan Dev Baba Bhakt Niwas on Old Akluj Road in Pandharpur. Local residents grew suspicious of his practices and alerted the health department.

In response, the health department, with assistance from the police and municipal authorities, conducted a raid on the clinic. During the operation, it was discovered that Pawar lacked any license or medical certification to operate a clinic.

Endangering Lives

For three years, Pawar not only treated patients in Pandharpur but also in Shegaon, putting numerous lives at risk with his unqualified medical practices.

Legal Action Taken

Following the revelation of his fraudulent activities, the police took action against Pawar and shut down his clinic. An extensive investigation is now underway to uncover any additional cases of similar malpractice. This incident highlights the critical need for vigilance in healthcare services.
