Thief Leaves Behind Quirky Messages

In Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, police have apprehended a peculiar and cunning thief named Tejaram. This burglar not only stole valuable items but also took time to relax and eat at the crime scene, leaving behind sarcastic slogans written on the walls. Identifying himself as 'Bihari Babu,' he gained notoriety after a recent burglary at an engineer's home where he wrote a humorous message in lipstick.

The incident occurred on the night of January 31, when a burglary took place at the residence of Assistant Engineer Sohan Jangid in the IGNP Colony. The thief broke into the house, stealing a laptop, television, perfume, and branded clothing. However, the real shock came when the police and the homeowner discovered the message left on the wall.

Using lipstick, the thief wrote in large letters, 'If you keep liquor at home, make sure to have potato chips too.' He even taunted the police, stating, 'If you file a complaint at the station, it will be a waste of time; don’t file a report.'

Arrest After Three Months of Investigation

Taking the challenge seriously, the police launched an investigation led by the Jaisalmer Kotwali Station Officer Surajaram. They activated informants and, based on technical evidence and tips, arrested 39-year-old Tejaram Suthar in Jodhpur. The stolen laptop from the engineer's home was recovered from him.

Strange Habits and Methods of the Thief

During police questioning, several surprising revelations about Tejaram emerged. Instead of fleeing immediately after the theft, he would linger for 2-3 hours, eating food from the fridge and using the stolen branded perfumes and clothes. He already has 18 previous theft cases against him and readily admits to his crimes in court, saying, 'Yes, I did steal.' As soon as he completes his sentence, he commits another burglary.

Currently, the Jaisalmer police are holding the suspect in custody to recover items from other thefts. Meanwhile, the story of this 'Bihari Babu' and his unusual demands has gone viral across Rajasthan.
