A family of bears makes a daily visit to the Chandi Devi Temple, located here. It has been reported that this temple in the Mahasamund district is not only a place of faith for people but also holds significance for animals. According to sources, this temple is approximately 150 years old. Inside the temple, there is a beautiful natural idol of Goddess Chandi. Visitors come not only to receive blessings but also to catch a glimpse of the bears.


People often wait for hours for the bear family to arrive at the temple. The temple priest mentions that the bears typically arrive during the evening aarti (prayer ceremony).
