This extraordinary event unfolded at the Cardarelli hospital in Naples. The mother welcomed a baby named Futura, weighing 3.8 kg. Just a few hours later, her daughter delivered a baby boy named Giovanni, who weighed 3.4 kg.

A Shared Pregnancy Journey

The mother, Mara Barone, is a biologist and this marks her second delivery. Her first child, Paola, was born when she was just 15 years old, and she chose to continue with her pregnancy instead of opting for an abortion.

In a remarkable twist of fate, on the same day Mara became a mother again, her daughter Paola, now 21, also gave birth. Mara is currently 35 years old. Both women shared their pregnancy journey under the same roof, and when the time came for delivery, they welcomed their children on the same day.

Claudio Santangelo, the director of the hospital's gynecology department, described the event as nothing short of a miracle. Both mother and daughter experienced normal deliveries, and both are in good health.
