J.P. Nadda, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, was released from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Wednesday following an angioplasty performed on August 17.
Nadda shared the news of his discharge via a post on his verified social media account, expressing that he was 'successfully discharged' and feeling 'healthy and doing well'.
He conveyed his 'heartfelt thanks' to the medical team at AIIMS for their exceptional care and dedication. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to his supporters for their prayers, calls, and messages during his time in the hospital, noting that their encouragement was invaluable.
The Union Minister was admitted to AIIMS on August 13 after experiencing discomfort. That same evening, he underwent various medical evaluations, including a coronary angiography, and was placed under observation in the Cardiology Department. His condition was reported as stable.
Following the angioplasty on August 17, Nadda remained under the watchful eye of the cardiology team. The hospital reported that he had a comfortable stay and expressed appreciation for the care he received from the doctors, nurses, and staff. His condition continued to be stable after the procedure.
During his hospitalization, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited Nadda at AIIMS. Sukhu left the hospital after their meeting.
Nadda's discharge marks the end of nearly a week of hospitalization and medical oversight. His post-discharge update suggests that he has made a good recovery and is in excellent health.
As a prominent BJP leader with deep political ties in Himachal Pradesh, Nadda's recovery is expected to bring comfort to party members and supporters both in Himachal Pradesh and nationwide.
