Light rain marked the start of the day in several parts of Delhi, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted thunderstorms and rain for most areas of the capital and NCR over the next few hours.

According to the weather department, strong winds are expected to blow at speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour, affecting areas such as Noida, Ghaziabad, Bahadurgarh, and nearby regions. A 'yellow' alert has been issued for certain parts of the national capital until around 11:20 AM, urging residents to remain vigilant during the stormy weather. The minimum temperature recorded in the morning was approximately 16 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is expected to hover around 30-32 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) indicated that the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 133, which falls under the 'moderate' category. According to CPCB standards, an AQI of 0 to 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.


Additionally, the air quality early warning system for Delhi suggests that the air quality is likely to remain in the 'moderate' range for the next few days. Officials have noted that light rain or drizzles may continue in various parts throughout the day.
