A Surprising Encounter at the Grievance Cell


Bhubaneswar: During a public grievance session led by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, a snake was discovered on the premises, as reported by an official.


The snake was located in the waiting area designated for persons with disabilities just moments before the CM's arrival at the grievance cell.


"The snake fell from the ceiling and sought shelter under a backpack," the official explained.


Upon its discovery, attendees were thrown into a state of panic. Authorities quickly reached out to the Snake Helpline for help.


"I received a call at 9:25 AM and promptly arrived at the CM's grievance cell to rescue a small snake," stated Subhendu Mallik, the general secretary of the Snake Helpline, an organization dedicated to snake rescue and conservation.


The snake, measuring about one foot in length and exhibiting a yellowish hue, was reported to be released back into its natural habitat.


At the time of the rescue, approximately 2,000 individuals, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and journalists, were present on-site.


This event marked the 14th session of public grievance hearings, attended by various ministers and senior officials.
