Unexpected Twist at Wedding: Guest Becomes Groom
A Unique Wedding Story from Chickmagalur
It is often said that fate plays a role in matchmaking. A recent incident from a village in the Tarikere taluk of Chickmagalur district exemplifies this perfectly. A man who attended a wedding as a guest ended up leaving with the bride as his wife. On the day of the wedding, the groom mysteriously vanished, leading this guest to step in and take the bride's hand in marriage.
On Sunday, two brothers, Ashok and Naveen, were set to marry at the same venue, with Naveen's bride being a woman named Sindhu. The day before the wedding, both brothers even posed for photographs together, receiving blessings from relatives. However, when the wedding day arrived, Naveen was nowhere to be found. Investigations revealed that he had fled due to pressure from his girlfriend.
Naveen's girlfriend had threatened him, claiming she would take her own life by consuming poison if he went through with the marriage. Fearing for her safety, Naveen decided to escape before the ceremony, arranging to meet his girlfriend in Tumakuru. Since then, he has been untraceable, leaving Sindhu and her family in distress on the wedding day.
Despite the chaos, Ashok, Naveen's brother, went ahead and took the seven vows at the altar, while Sindhu wept as an unmarried bride. In a bid to resolve the situation, Sindhu's family decided to find a groom among the wedding guests. Chandappa, a BMTC conductor who was present, volunteered to marry Sindhu. With the agreement of both families, the plan was set in motion.
Chandappa and Sindhu exchanged vows, officially becoming husband and wife. The story quickly spread on social media, earning Chandappa widespread admiration for his swift decision to marry and bring joy to Sindhu and her family during a challenging time. Both Chandappa and Sindhu are now happily united.
