Understanding Signs of Impending Death
The Fear of Death
The fear of death is arguably the most profound fear that exists, haunting everyone with the realization that one day, they must leave this world. The uncertainty of when and how that moment will arrive adds to the anxiety. Death is an inevitable truth that no human can alter. Yet, the mere mention of death evokes a sense of dread and apprehension. Today, we will explore certain signs that may indicate how soon a person might face their end.
Signs Indicating Imminent Death
When a person's body begins to weaken and their palate dries up, it is said that they may have about a month left to live. Since ancient times, humans have attempted to conquer death through rigorous penance, seeking immortality from the divine, but death remains an unchangeable reality. The only difference lies in the length of life—some live long, while others have shorter lifespans.
Surprisingly, before a person passes away, the deity of death, Yama, is believed to send several signals. However, very few are aware of these signs. Here are some indicators that may suggest that death is approaching.
Recognizing the Signs of Death
1. A person nearing death may start seeing cracks in the moon, a sight visible only to those who will die within a week.
2. Individuals under the shadow of death might begin to see deceased people, sometimes alone and sometimes in groups, indicating their imminent departure from this world.
3. It is said that when visiting a cemetery, one must greet the deceased, and those who hear a response may have only three days left.
4. Typically, a person's shadow never leaves them, but when death approaches, their shadow may vanish, even in light, oil, or water.
5. If a person sees the face of a deceased individual instead of their own in a mirror, they may have only 24 hours left.
6. Six months prior to death, a person's senses (taste, smell, touch, hearing) may become dull, and their eye color may change.
7. Those close to death often perceive the sky as a deep red, resembling blood.
8. A peculiar odor, similar to that of a corpse, may begin to emanate from the person, intensifying until they succumb to death.
