Re-Test Announcement for UGC-NET Papers

New Delhi: On Sunday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared that a re-test will be conducted for three subjects of the UGC-NET examination: English, Commerce, and Sociology. This decision follows numerous complaints regarding errors found in these papers.

The English re-test is scheduled for September 9, taking place from 9 AM to 12 PM during Shift 1, while the Commerce paper will occur on the same day from 3 PM to 6 PM in Shift 2.

The Sociology paper is set for September 10, from 9 AM to 12 PM in Shift 1.

The NTA had previously conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination from June 22 to June 30, covering 87 subjects aimed at awarding Junior Research Fellowships, determining eligibility for assistant professors, and facilitating admissions to PhD programs.
