UAE's Defense Ministry Reports on Iranian Missile Threats

Abu Dhabi: In light of the escalating conflict in the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has disclosed significant details regarding its air defense capabilities against potential Iranian attacks. The UAE's defense ministry announced that since the onset of hostilities, their air defense systems have successfully identified 186 ballistic missiles launched by Iran. Out of these, 172 were intercepted and destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea. Notably, one missile landed within UAE territory, but fortunately, there were no reported casualties.

Additionally, the ministry indicated that Iran has deployed over 800 drones, with 755 being neutralized. Of these, 57 drones landed within the UAE. Iran also launched eight cruise missiles, all of which were detected and eliminated, although some collateral damage occurred, resulting in three fatalities, including nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Over 60 individuals sustained injuries due to the Iranian strikes on the UAE.

On Tuesday, the UAE's defense ministry detailed that its air defense systems managed to intercept 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones, with one missile falling on UAE soil without causing any human casualties. The ministry reiterated that since the beginning of the Iranian aggression, they have detected 186 ballistic missiles, destroying 172, with 13 falling into the sea and one landing on land. Furthermore, they reported the interception of 755 out of 812 Iranian drones, with 57 drones landing within the UAE's borders. The eight cruise missiles launched were also successfully intercepted, leading to some collateral damage and three reported deaths.

The UAE government clarified that the loud sounds reported across various regions were due to the interception of missiles and drones by their air defense systems. The ministry confirmed that these sounds were a result of their air defenses engaging ballistic missiles, as well as fighter jets intercepting drones and cruise missiles, which caused minor to moderate damage to several civilian properties.

Explosions Reported in Dubai and Abu Dhabi: On Tuesday night, loud explosions were reported in Dubai, according to various sources. There were also multiple accounts of loud bangs in Abu Dhabi and Doha, but no casualties have been reported so far. The conflict has intensified following coordinated strikes by the United States and Iran, which resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched extensive strikes against Israel and U.S. military installations in the Gulf region, including the UAE. The conflict has now entered its fourth day.
