Knife Attack Leaves Two Young Men Injured
In the Jahangirpuri area of northwest Delhi, an incident occurred where four individuals allegedly attacked two 18-year-old boys with knives, resulting in serious injuries. This information was confirmed by a police officer on Sunday.
According to police reports, the Jahangirpuri police station received a call around 2:55 PM regarding a stabbing incident near Block K in Jahangirpuri.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found two injured individuals, identified as Anshu and Vimal, both aged 18. Anshu sustained knife wounds to his right hand, while Vimal had multiple stab injuries.
The injured were given first aid and subsequently admitted to Lok Nayak Jay Prakash (LNJP) Hospital for further treatment. Police indicated that initial investigations revealed the attack was unprovoked and carried out by four individuals in Block K.
During questioning, the victims informed the police that the attackers approached them and inquired if they knew someone named Sahil. When the victims responded negatively, the assailants further asked if they were residents of Block K.
Shortly thereafter, the attackers reportedly brandished sharp weapons and assaulted both victims before fleeing the scene.
Police noted that Anshu's statement was recorded once he was deemed fit to provide it. A case has been registered based on his complaint, and further investigations are underway.
Authorities have formed multiple teams to identify and locate the suspects, while efforts to uncover the motive behind the attack are ongoing. Additionally, CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
