Theft Incident Leads to Quick Arrests

On January 5, 2026, the Indora Police Station filed case number 05/26 under sections 331(3) and 303(2) of the BNS, prompted by a complaint from Kuldeep Verma, son of Bansi Lal, who resides in Birwal Colony, Indora. The complaint detailed that on December 18, 2025, during the day, unidentified individuals broke into his home and stole a 55-inch Sony LED TV along with a laptop.


In a prompt and efficient response, the Nurpur Police launched a comprehensive investigation and utilized technical analysis. Remarkably, within just seven hours, they apprehended the suspects in Mukerian, District Hoshiarpur (Punjab):



  • Pankaj, son of Kartar Singh, from village Fatual, Mukerian

  • Paras Kumar alias Prince, son of Subhash, from Ward No. 11, Mukerian


Legal actions are currently underway in accordance with established protocols.


The Nurpur Police have urged community members to report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods to aid in preventing future incidents.
