The two educators face charges under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing bodily harm and for assault, as well as violations of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Right to Education Act.
During their interrogation, the teachers claimed they disciplined the boy for frequently leaving the madrasa and returning later. They also alleged that the video was recorded by another teacher who shared it after departing from the institution.
