Father of the Bride Shares the Full Story
The bride's father informed the police that his daughter's marriage had been arranged six months prior with 20-year-old Pradeep Kumar from Babri village in Shamli district. However, just a day before the wedding, Pradeep's brother passed away, and his family stated they would inform the bride's family about the wedding's status. Despite the father's preparations, no communication was received from the groom's family.
A Second Marriage Arrangement
With no response from the first groom's family, the bride's father decided to arrange her marriage with Akash, a resident of Diggi village under the jurisdiction of the Meerut Medical Police Station. They confirmed the wedding procession for March 10, which was set to take place.

It was later discovered that the bride was a minor, and when her family was asked for identification or documentation, they were unable to provide any. Consequently, the girl was taken by the Child Welfare Committee for assessment, and both wedding parties returned home.
