Arrests Made Over WhatsApp Controversy
In Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, law enforcement has apprehended two individuals for allegedly posting controversial content related to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on WhatsApp status. This information was disclosed by the police on Sunday.
The suspects have been identified as Deepak Chauhan and Himanshu, with a formal complaint lodged against them on June 21 at the Hastinapur police station.
According to police reports, both individuals hail from the villages of Tarapur and Bastora Nanger in Hastinapur.
The complainant stated that upon raising objections to the posted content, the accused responded with casteist slurs and threats to his life. An official confirmed that the police are currently investigating the matter.
