Arrests Made in Imphal East District

In the Imphal East district of Manipur, law enforcement officials apprehended two individuals and seized firearms and ammunition. This information was disclosed by the police on Sunday.


According to police reports, the arrests and recoveries occurred on Saturday.


The police statement indicated that 49-year-old Rebanta Kshetrimayum was taken into custody at his residence in the Pangei Lairem Mapan area. Authorities recovered a 9mm pistol along with 18 cartridges from him.


Additionally, the statement revealed that security forces arrested 30-year-old Aribam Gunindro Sharma from his home in the Haotang Thangjam Khunou area. He was found in possession of 13 cartridges of various calibers and three shells of a 12-bore cartridge.
