Two Arrested in Delhi for Attempting to Deliver Heroin

Heroin Delivery Attempt Foiled in Shastri Park
In Shastri Park, Delhi, law enforcement apprehended a businessman and an assistant from a grocery store while they were allegedly trying to deliver a shipment of heroin. This information was disclosed by an official on Monday.
According to the officer, the two suspects—Ans Khan, aged 26, and Sudhir Kumar, also known as Hrithik, aged 27—were found in possession of over one kilogram of heroin valued at more than five crore rupees.
A senior police official reported that the duo was intercepted on July 1 near Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital on Zero Pusta Road while attempting to deliver the heroin using a car.
The police stated that 527 grams of heroin were seized from Khan, while Kumar had 526 grams. During interrogation, both admitted to purchasing the heroin from Avneesh, a resident of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh.
The officer further mentioned that a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) at the Crime Branch police station.
